National Poetry Month

Selfie + Sky2

April is National Poetry Month in Canada.

Field Guide to the Lost Flower of Crete will be published two months from today!

I’ve also been doing lots of writing and have been receiving acceptances. Two poems are forthcoming in The Antigonish Review, one in the Poem in Your Pocket Day Brochure from the League of Canadian Poets, and five in talking about strawberries all of the time (including “Sky” which under the former title “Sambro” was a finalist for the Arc Award of Awesomeness in December); strawberries will also publish an interview. The later two will be online later in April (more news soon).

I’m adding finishing touches to the poetry film as a visual notebook for Field Guide to the Lost Flower of Crete.

Here’s a Field preview from the poem “Slowly”

Last time you gave

me a jar of seaweed

you gathered and pickled for

me. I rationed it out

slowly…
