I’ve also reached my favourite moment in the publishing of a new book: I’m reading my proof pages. My top favourite moment in my writing life is when I’m in the middle of a brand new poem but proof pages make the forthcoming book feel truly real. I also love when I can see which poems are face to face with each other on opposite pages. This comes down to the chance process of typesetting but I’m truly pleased by how all the poems are aligned.
