Some people have been reporting seeing a strange man on a white horse riding on the beach. He was apparently being chased by young children. I have no photos to prove this but perhaps it’s true? I did photograph the beach many times in 2025. The year was so intensely busy that other than the three days I spent in Athens for the music theater premiere of Field Guide [to the Lost Flower], I stayed close to home. In short bursts of free time I cycled to the seaside for summer swims and winter beach walks. The rest of the time I continued to work on Rush of Wingspan (McGill-Queen’s University Press, March 2026). Multiple poems in the forthcoming book relate to these sea views.
