CBC Poetry Prize Finalist

My Northern Childhood cycle is a CBC Poetry Prize finalist. From 2700 entries, five were chosen for the list.

You’ll find all ten poems in the cycle published at CBC Books.

I’m honoured to be on the shortlist together with Cicely Grace, Emily Yiling Ma, Rachel Robb, and Catherine St. Denis.

Contest judges are Shani Mootoo, Garry Gottfriedson, and Emily Austin.

  1. Amazing news, Eleonore!!! Congratulations on these very fine poems and their success. The lines are beautiful and brutal, the silences voluminous. “Hard-won” is overused as praise but it feels true here.
