On 7 November I had an enjoyable conversation with my German translator Knut Birkholz along with reading poems from Wavelengths of Your Song (McGill-Queen’s University Press) and Wellenlängen deines Liedes (parasitenpresse 2020). Thank you to everyone who attended and for all the wonderful live chat comments. We had audience members from at least five different countries and from multiple regions in Canada including the Northwest Territories, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia. Thank you also to the amazing Rachel McCrum for letting us use her Crowdcast platform and for providing background support. Many thanks also to the League of Canadian Poets and the Canada Council for the Arts for making the reading possible.
Wellenlängen deines Liedes was published as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair initiative with Canada as the guest country in 2021.
The next event will be on 12 December and will feature poetry and piano music live streamed from the Poetry House. More news soon. Pre-register here.
