During the weekend of June 7^th I was in Athens. I watched the premiere of Field Guide [to the Lost Flower] as part of the Athens Epidaurus Festival. It was an immense experience.

A mutual friend of Michalis and I said, “You could never have imaged this.” And I said, “No, I could never have imagined this.”

We live one step at a time doing what needs to be done in the moment, but small steps can lead to an expansive creative life.

For both Michalis and I, the ideas and work for the creation of the music-theater spanned many years.

And, no, neither of us could ever have imagined how we would transform epic loss into art.
