The stories of 2023

Many thanks to the publications that accepted my work this past year, and to all of my friends and followers for your support and encouragement.

“Taiga” was a winner in the Poem in Your Pocket day contest from the League of Canadian Poets.

The short story “The Other Side of the Map” won an honourable mention in the Dave Williamson National Short Story contest and was published in the collection Beyond Boundaries.

The short story “Parcels Larger than Moments” was published by The Antigonish Review in Volume 52, Number 212, Winter 2023.

An additional short story was a finalist in the International Literary Seminars fiction contest (in the top ten).

All three stories belong to a work-in-progress collection of linked stories.

“Weightless” was published in Omnibus: Five Years of Poetry in Motion by the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia.

What we don’t think of packing,” “When I Reach,” and “Slowly,” were published as part of the League of Canadian Poets Poetry Pause.
